Lucida Teams runs interviews for companies that are hiring. This page explains what happens to your information, whether you are a candidate or a company using the product.
Who is responsible
If you are a candidate, the company you applied to decides what to ask and what to do with your application. It is the data fiduciary. Lucida Teams, operated by Dipesh Majumder as a sole proprietor, processes your information on its behalf.
If you sign in to a workspace, Lucida Teams is the data fiduciary for your account details.
What we handle about candidates
- Your name, contact details and résumé.
- Your interview answers, including any spoken answers.
- If the role is recorded, and only after you agree: your camera, microphone and shared screen during the interview.
- Interview events such as tab switches and paste attempts, plus your IP address and browser details for security.
What it is used for
To run your interview, to assess your job-related answers with Lucida AI, and to give the hiring team evidence to review.
- Nothing analyses your face, emotions or personality.
- Interview events never change your score. They are shown to a person, who decides what they mean.
- A person at the hiring company makes the decision. A score does not reject anyone.
- We do not sell your information, and it is not used to train AI models.
If you don't want to be recorded
Don't tick the box, and no recording starts. Ask the hiring company whether it can assess you another way.
How long it is kept
- Recordings: for the number of days shown to you before you agree, then deleted. The hiring company sets this, from 1 to 365 days.
- Recordings moved to the company's own storage: if a company connects its own Google Drive, S3 or R2, recordings move there once the copy is verified. How long they stay is then that company's decision.
- Applications: kept in the company's workspace until you or the company ask us to erase them, or the workspace closes. We act on an erasure request within 30 days and delete closed workspaces within 90 days. Backups expire on their own schedule after that.
Who else handles it
| Service | Where | What for |
|---|---|---|
| Contabo | Germany | Servers, database and recordings |
| OpenRouter, Anthropic | US | Run Lucida AI, with provider data collection turned off |
| OpenAI | US | Transcribes spoken answers, only where spoken questions are switched on |
| Google Cloud | Outside India | Off-site database backups |
| Cloudflare | Global | DNS |
| Resend | US | Email delivery |
| Razorpay | India | Payments, for companies only |
| The company's own storage | Its choice | Recordings, if it connects Google Drive, S3 or R2 |
Your information may therefore be processed outside India.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your information, ask us to correct or erase it, withdraw your consent, and nominate someone to act for you. Start with the hiring company, because it holds your application. You can also write to us and we will help.
